When you've had a car for long enough, it sort of becomes like a family member. Imagining life without it, even though it is sort of falling apart, is impossible. My grandpa had a car for over 20 years that my cousins and I nicknamed "Trevor" for whatever reason. When he got himself a brand new pickup truck and didn't have enough room for Trevor on the driveway, he had a hard time figuring out what to do with the beloved vehicle. He ended up gifting it to a granddaughter that had just earned her driver's license. So, at least old Trev was kept in the family.

In our story today, an old car is the source of some incredibly tense family drama. When a 26-year-old techie get a new ride, his aunt simply assumes that his old car will be gifted to her son. However, something about the entitlement in his aunt's assumption rubs our protagonist the wrong way, and he puts his foot down on her behavior.
